Bid for Your Calls to Increase Your Profits

If you’ve already experienced the success that Google AdWords and Cost-Per-Click can provide, you might want to check out the next innovation from the Internet giant. Within the coming weeks, companies in the U.S. and the UK will be introduced to a new concept: bidding for live phone calls as well as bidding for clicks. To earn this opportunity, companies need to provide Google search ads on PCs and tablets. If your company is one that views live calls as a good source for leads, you may be ready to pay the high total cost for these calls.

The reason for a new system with new a new approach? The more your ads stand out, the more likely you are to pay a higher price (up to $5) for calls, or clicks. The more time you have to invest in advertising, the greater the outcome. The goal here is to ensure your ads grab attention in an oversaturated market so you can generate optimal income levels with the least amount of work. Who wouldn’t want to jump on board?..

Everyone understands the importance of streamlining. The old phrase ‘jack of all trades and master of none’ should never be true of a business that intends to succeed. Still, many have begun to feel a little unsteady given the wave of Google products which have been led to the chopping block in recent months.  Forums are filled with questions about whether or not Google is a reliable place to store data given the fear that hardly any location within its purview seems safe long-term.  Let’s take a look at just a few of the most recent products to be axed.

Code Search – scheduled to close by January 15, 2012

Admittedly a niche search tool, code search was created to aid in searches for open source code across the Web. Code Search API will also feel the blade in January.

Google Buzz and Buzz API – will shut down any time over the coming weeks

Similar to Google Wave, which involuntarily gave up the ghost in 2010 after just one year, Google Buzz is another social service to get the pink slip. Google Buzz was introduced in 2010 (on the heels of Wave) as an application that went hand-in-glove with the Gmail email service. Google Buzz allowed its users to share videos, photos and updates with their friends. It enjoyed a quick surge of popularity and then died in the water...

Google+ Invites You to Come on Board - Should You Jump?

Google plus entered the social media hemisphere recently and you couldn’t escape the consistent coverage in the tech space, each portal proclaiming its praises and making associated projections as to its longevity in the market. While the new platform is still “testing the waters” within the ocean of social media possibilities, it does offer some tools and perks that can make your social interactions much more pleasant.

Google + Uses Circles to Refine Your Audience

The primary stand apart feature in this platform is the Google+ Circle format for communicating with friends. With Google+ users assign every contact to a Circle. While initially this may seem tedious, the payoff is completely worth it.  Once Circles are organized, users will relish the new privacy they can enjoy. Circles enable users to enjoy discriminating social interchanges. You decide at each instance with whom you wish to share your thoughts, and you determine whose thoughts you are most interested in hearing on a subject. Google+ has hit a home run by creating a media that allows you to make your social Internet exchanges far more meaningful and personal...

google-panda-update

The recent Panda update, Google has recently imposed on the online world, has had many harsh affects on businesses. Small businesses have been hit the hardest with substantial decreases in their current online website traffic and sales.

As you may be aware, the problem exists from Google shifting their algorithm to penalize websites with duplicated information. Much of the content are product descriptions that are the same for many other websites selling the same kinds of products. Because of the decrease in traffic and sales, many businesses have had to reduce their operations to contain costs to survive this punch in the face.

Many businesses are rethinking their online marketing strategies to adjust to the blow from Google's change. The modifications have affected 14% of online businesses. Many  are legitimate long-time businesses that are now spending a large amount of their marketing budgets on SEO to increase profits and find new customers...

Does the Search Engine Giant Have What it Takes to Impact the Social Media Market?

google-1-button

The +1 Google plan to break into the social media game has mixed opinions.  How is this new social strategy going to really help Google to break into the social media market? Facebook was the first and with being first, they will always have the upper hand. How can Google make the +1 strategy work without a social platform?

Also if the +1 plan is implemented, how is that going to affect their current search function in the eyes of their users? For example, if you have search listings based on their very complex algorithm differ from the opinions of users using the +1 button, what are we supposed to conclude from that? That kind of flies in the face of their supposed fail proof search engine algorithm. What they think are the most relevant sites versus what the +1 data will conclude, could undermine Google's reputation and authority in the search engine rankings...
