Chemical supplier Mitsubishi Gas Chemical America has been providing chemicals to manufacturing industries in the United States since 1984. An American subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, MGCA serves all of North and South America including everything from natural gas chemical delivery to support of food and pharmaceutical industries. The company is constantly looking to find new technologies and processes to better serve their customers. When they wanted to improve the look and function of their website, they hired Webmaster Studio to perform a complete rebuild.
MGCA came to us asking for a website that would really help them stand out from their competition. We knew that they needed a website that included responsive design, allowing the site to be visible on multiple devices, such as desktops, tablets, and smart phones. Mobile-friendly websites are becoming an even more important element in search engine optimization efforts, as well. In April 2015, Google will make changes to its algorithm that will give more weight to mobile-friendly websites, possibly increasing their ranking. We advised the client that by improving the look of the website with a more modern design, they could possibly improve the bounce rate, or how quickly people navigate away from the site after they click on a link to it from the search results page. A more modern-looking website will look more reputable to visitors, and perhaps keep them engaged longer.
We gave their website a complete overhaul, giving it a brighter, more vibrant look that would be more visually appealing to visitors. Our designers used .NET Framework 3.5—which allowed us to create a website that provided a more personalized and interactive experience for visitors. Our designers also updated the navigation of the website to make it more user-friendly and created a dynamic website with responsive design that could be viewed on all mobile platforms. The new navigation layout featured an easy to use navigation bar that allowed visitors to search for specific information in sections of the website, as well as information about the company’s products and services.
The client came to us with a number of brochures that they wanted users to be able to access through the website. These brochures describing the client’s products and their applications were made available by converting them to PDFs and providing download links to the documents on the Applications page. By setting up admins for their content management system, we gave the clients the ability to easily update the website.
When the project was completed, the client was very pleased with the website. We were happy that we were able to deliver exactly what MGCA asked us to deliver, which was to provide a beautiful new website that combined a modern look and ease of navigation to make them stand out from their competition. The SEO work we completed for the client as well as the responsive design also helped make the site more attractive to search engines and help the client receive favorable search ranking results.
